General Overview		At first glance Jek'lar seems to be your typical Klingon. Honor & duty, however, that is the image he likes to project to maintain his position in society. When off duty he is relaxed, enjoying his drink in particular Blood wine. He is exceptionally proud of his heritage and will speak about Klingon life to anyone who is willing to listen. He prefers to show his culture through song and stories rather than just speaking. When his loyalty and trust is earned he defends those that have earned it fiercely.

Personal History		Jek'Lar was born on Q'Onos in the Earth year of 2366. His father was a local constable and his mother a farmer and housewife. He was the middle child and as such got the brunt of his parents ire when they were angry. Jek'lar's older brother was the warrior that dad always wanted where Jek'Lar was average in the ways of combat. Jek'Lar's younger sister is the apple of her father's eye, and her mother's ideal Klingon woman. Fierce, talented and smart what more could a mother ask for. So Jek'Lar took a relaxed approach to his life, the way he saw it if he had to be the wrong one, might as well have a reason to be wrong. His parents made sure that he attended school and the warrior academy. It was here that Jek'Lar's fascination with the Klingon culture actually sparked. He learned that your family is not just your parents and siblings etc. It is every Klingon and in that thought his entire outlook reversed. Jek'Lar son of Koss became a model Klingon. Most of Jek'lar's family wanted him to join the KDF like his brother before him. However, he did not want to be around Klingons. Jek'Lar felt that everything that made a Klingon, a Klingon should be shared with the galaxy so in 2384 he applied for entrance into Starfleet Academy on Earth. To his surprise his father Koss came around and supported the idea of joining Starfleet. By this time most Klingons had viewed humans as honorable allies, and warriors worthy of Sto'Vo'Kor. In September of 2384 Jek'Lar arrived on Earth to begin his first year Cadet training. His roommate was a Bolian named Xerxes and they got along famously. They spent many nights exchanging stories. This is what Jek'Lar craved the knowledge of other beings. Due to his training on the homeworld Jek'Lar was fast tracked into the Security and Tactical program at the Academy. However, that was not what truly interested him. Much to the surprise of all his instrutors. Jek'Lar showed an aptitude for information gathering and data analysis. What's more is that he enjoyed this work more than most felt a Klingon should. During the next three years at Starfleet Academy Jek'Lar would come to specialize in hand to hand combat and linguitics, and find that he has a head for strategy. In May of 2387 Jek'Lar graduated the Academy in the upper part of his class. He was granted the rank of Ensign and sent to his first assignment as Data Analytics Officer aboard the USS Tomahawk. Upon arrival aboard the Tomahawk Jek'Lar met a man named Eric Watson who was the Chief Intelligence Officer. Eric would come to mentor the young Starfleet Officer. Teaching him to temper the boisterous Klingon ways with a dash of humility and solitude. Eric and Jek'Lar became the closest of friends to the point that Jek'Lar was the best man at Eric's wedding. In September of 2389 fate would step in for Jek'Lar again. It seemed on the eve of a large scientific conference Eric fell ill with the Iruddian Flu. The conference which was occurring between Romulan and Federation scientists was being held aboard the Nebula Class Tomahawk. Jek'Lar took charge while Eric lay in Sick Bay, because of his planning and vetting the Romulan representative the event went off without a hitch. A few months later in January of 2390 Jek'Lar was ordered to transfer to the USS John Adams as an Intelligence Officer. One year after his transfer Jek'Lar is promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade for meritorious service and appointed to the position of Assistant Chief Intelligence Officer of the USS John Adams. The next three years passed and were standard as Starship life went. Jek'Lar stayed in touch with Eric and made new friends of his own. However, at this point in his life he was ashamed of one thing. There were little to no love interests. One guesses that it would have to take a tough human woman to want to deal with a Klingon. In 2394 Starfleet orders Jek'lar to transfer to the USS Sutherland and report to Captain Joshua Coslar for duty as the Assistant Chief Intelligence Officer. A lot of officers shy away from scientific assignments. However, Jek'Lar embraced this assignment. It played into his new philosophy of protecting those who need it most. In 2396 Jek'Lar heard that the USS Firebird operating in the Gamma Quadrant was in need of a Assistant Chief Intelligence Officer. He applied for the position as once again he felt that he would best serve the fleet by gaining information about the mostly unexplored Gamma Quadrant. This transfer was granted and he reported to Captain Malcom Llwyedd at Deep Space 18. Jek'Lar knew that being on the frontier of space would be the best place to bring honor to his house.
