Physical Description		Zub Enel (Zoob inNELL) has a heavily crested head. With a short torso and long legs, he stalks about like a reptilian beach ball on stilts. His mocha-brown scales sprout downy feathers that stir like he is standing in a breeze. This fluttering and subtle scale color changes betray his moods, especially surprise or embarrassment. He has golden eyes and three-fingered hands that end in claws.

Personality & Traits

General Overview		Zub is friendly, observant, and curious about people. He recalls minor conversational details and fusses over inconsistencies. While respectful of rank and etiquette, he’s not afraid to ask anyone questions. A pacifist at heart, but when fists or disruptor beams fly, he fights, forcibly restrains, or kills if need be. He relishes fresh vegetables and live insects – flying ones especially.

Hobbies & Interests		Zub, athletic and competitive, enjoys martial arts, pick-up sports and working out in a gymnasium and holodeck, if available. He studies alien criminal case histories, psychology, and investigative techniques. He is trying his hand, with limited success, at salad gardening and ale brewing.

Personal History		In 2371 at the Elkhiffa Hatchery, Farpoint Station, Deneb IV, Zub Enel was the first out of the shell. Even though his 16 nestmates emerged the same day, and despite scientific proof to the contrary, his parents retained Voth beliefs in the primacy of birth order. They were harder on him and held him to higher standards. While succeeding at school and sports, he was expected to put his siblings before his own needs. His success at academics and athletics have held him in good stead during his Starfleet career. Yet, emotions strengthened by decades of suppression of his own needs threaten to burst forth. As a counselor would say, “He needs work done.”
